Default Ritualist - Supportive Role

Hi, Im new to this game and had a tough time in choosing jobs. I've been reading about the jobs but still, I couldnt decide yet. Im more into a supportive job, like doing all those healing etc (Im hmm, a behind-the-scene guy), in a party so I came across these two jobs, Ritualist and Monk. Ritualist attracts me more tho.

I was thinking, if Ritualist the right choice for me ?

Ritualist will be very good if you like support. Most teams now run for pve 1 monk healer then a protective ritualist with spells like shelter and union. You basically can act like a protective monk for your entire party along with pretty decent heals.

The good thing about ritualists is that they aren't as limited, if the team your in needs a nuker you could switch to channeling and do decent damage or be /necro and be a minion bomber.

But to answer your question a ritualist would be a good choice if you like playing support roles.

From what you've said, I'm exactly like you and ritualist is my favorite class, so I'd assum you'd like it too. Anyway, if you get bored of being defensive you can go communing or rt/n minion bomber for massive damage

Edit: Hah, i read his post and realised I said the same thing as him. Oh well.

Yes, Rt is a powerful supporter, however, many players (aspecial warriors) still don't know how powerful of a supportive Rt. Everytime, I want to join a team.,I have to spend time to explain what I can do but still have over 50% to be kicked out. One time, in THE DEEP mission I spend much time to explain to those warriors that they can treat me as a protector as powerful as a monk but they still insist on inviting a real monk and kick me out even though I told them that I have completed this ellite mission twice without any problem.

Just start your own groups. Be specific when you spam local chat for people. I find that groups you make yourself succeed far more often.

You should decide between monk and Rt based on their skills and how much you like em. Does monk seem more cool? or Rt? With whom you can identify more? That kinda stuff

it can replace a prot monk...
